Pam Simpson, an acrylic abstract artist living in Ellensburg, will have a “Pop Up Art Studio” from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at Jerrol’s located at 111 E. University Way in Ellensburg, according to a news release.
Simpson is a retired early child educator who found a new passion in creative acrylic abstract art.
“My love and passion for art was inspired by my father. I grew up with the smells of paint and turpentine, while watching him paint for many hours each day,” Simpson said in the release. “Dad was always creating forest landscapes of beautiful fall colored trees, lakes, mountain snow scenes, and long walking trails, ultimately leading to a quite log cabin.
“Most of my years growing up were in Southern California Coastal cities where the vibrant colors of oceans surf, sunsets, and sunrises are often seen in my paintings.”
She has been showing her work since 2017, at Monster Melts downtown, Briarwood Commons Bazaars, and Hearthstone Living Center Holiday Craft Shows.
