Midland Center for the Arts welcomes Jacob Huss
The Midland Center for the Arts recently announced Jacob Huss as the new historical programs and exhibitions manager. Huss was formerly the assistant curator for the Midland County Historical Society and a Museum Generalist for the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science and Art. Huss replaces Gary Skory, former director of the historical society, which is a function of the Center for the Arts.
“I am excited to be back at the center because there is no better venue or team to help show why the people of Midland County and the larger Great Lakes Bay Region are worth celebrating whether through history, art, or performance,” said Huss.
Huss brings a wealth of experience both nationally and locally to the center, having also worked at the National Museum of American History, and as the development coordinator for the American Kidney Fund. He earned a bachelor of arts degree from Saginaw Valley State University along with a master of arts degree from Central Michigan University in history.
