CADILLAC — Cadillac Mayor Carla J. Filkins and the Cadillac Arts Council recently announced the winners of the 37th Annual Mayor’s Art Award competition held Friday, July 19, in conjunction with the annual Cadillac Festival of the Arts.
This year’s first place was awarded to Barbie Felsk of Cadillac for her drawing titled “Camp Torenta.‘ The second-place winner was Rick Bartrand of Tustin for his photograph titled “Stop and Enjoy the View.‘ The third-place award was presented to Hannah Burkholder of Cadillac for her painting titled “Rainbow Trout Reproduction.‘
The mayor presented the winning artists with ribbons and accepted Felsk’s artwork on behalf of the city of Cadillac.
The city will follow up this week with certificates and monetary awards. Felsk will receive the $450 first-place award and her artwork will be displayed at the Municipal Complex. Bartrand will receive $100 for second place, and Burkholder will receive $50 for third place.
