Art lovers did not let the gloomy weather stop them from enjoying a night on the town!
On Friday night, they hit the streets of downtown Traverse City for the bi-annual art walk.
The art walk is a tradition that brings the locals to town just after the tourist season ends. People out and about can enjoy the stroll through town featuring local art, plus wine, snacks and laughs with friends along the way. The commemorative wine glass purchases go towards art nonprofits in the area.
“Tonight is all about the artists. There are 21 different stores that feature a different artist, it definitely brings awareness to the arts,” said Melissa Krause of Art & Soul Gallery. “It lets people come down and have fun and have a little bit to drink.”
The next art walk is in the spring.
